Carson Burrito

30 August 2011

When we get Carson out of the bathtub we wrap him up in a towel and call him a Carson Burrito. He thinks it is the funniest thing in the whole world when we try and eat his tummy. :)

Our neighbors, Lois and Robert Draper, had a friend from China come visit them for a few weeks this summer. He had never had a s'more!! Of course we had to teach him this American fine art.... Carson also got to experience his first s'more.

Zach's Wedding

27 August 2011

Zach and Haleigh Bloomfield

On August 26th, Zach got married! That means all 4 of us siblings are hitched!! Crazy! He got married in Oregon so my sisters and I flew there and met my parents at the airport. My Aunt Raette was so kind to help us all be able to afford to go to the wedding since we didn't have much notice and we wouldn't have been able to drive.
We flew in the day of the wedding and flew out the next morning, so we didn't have much time to spend with everyone.

Yummy berries!
The food was great and the weather was beautiful. Zach and Haleigh both looked fantastic and very happy. We were all really glad we could be there for them on their special day.

Because that's how we roll....

For our date night this week, Jason and I stayed home and made s'mores on the charcoal grill. We hada lot of fun doing it, too! I came home from a friend's wedding and found my baby in bed, dinner made, and the fire ready! Love you, babe!

Chucker's Game

16 August 2011

FHE at the Chuckers Game
Jason and I work for a great company. Every year they have a Melaleuca Chucker's night were we can go to the baseball game for free! We decided to go for Family Home Evening. We didn't stay for the whole game, but Carson got to eat a hot dog and meet the Chucker's mascot.

To celebrate we went down to the greenbelt and walked around. It was a very nice Sunday afternoon and we got to spend some time together as a family. What a great day!

Splash Park and Carousel

Today, Ashley and I took the kids to the Rexburg Splash park to play. We stopped and got Little Caesars Pizza and had a picnic at the park and then let them loose in the water! Carson only liked to eat the breadsticks and the sauce.....mostly the sauce.
Eating all the sauce
Carson wasn't the biggest fan of the water splashing him in the face, so he mostly just crawled around in the puddles and gave dirty looks to those that tried to splash him.

After they were done playing we took them for a ride on the Carousel. They thought it was awesome!
Looking around while riding the Carousel
Kenzlee really wanted some cotton candy and we thought it would be a fun treat for them to try. It was so funny to see their different reactions to it! Kenzlee loved it, Carson ate it but didn't seem to really care what he was eating, and Brock didn't like it at all!

Rodeo

07 August 2011

Carson and I at the War Bonnet Rodeo before the rain
While Jason was gone to Convention, Carson and I went to a Rodeo! We went with Carly and Will and my friend April. It was so much fun! Carson liked to see all of the animals and it was really cool to watch the different events. It was a beautiful summer day, but right when the rodeo started it started to POUR rain. I mean POUR. We had to run under the bleachers for cover. Luckily between all of us Carson was able to stay dry, but the rest of us were soaked!

Carson and I after the rain....

I think we had so much fun at the rodeo it will be something we do every year! Next time we will bring coats and blankets for sure!

Trip to Utah

02 August 2011

The weekend of the 24th of July we went down to Utah to see Jason's grandparents and parents. We had a lot of fun! Carson loves Grandma and Grandpa Hileman, and they love him right back.  It was also good to visit with Jason's parents since we don't get to see them very often. We went to a copper mine and learned a lot, ate lots of yummy food, and got to spend time with family.
