Friday, Jason turned 29! That is just crazy to me! Carson, Brooklyn, and I surprised him at work with 96 cupcakes for his department. They had decorated his office and he got lots of cards from people he works with.
That night, I made his favorite dinner and we got in the car to go get ice cream. On our way there, the car started sputtering and Jason looked down to see we were out of gas! My bad! My gas light never came on so I thought I was still safe. Jason just gave me the look and we coasted into the gas station parking lot. We died just out of reach of the pump so Jason had to push the Explorer close enough for the hose to reach. Sorry, honey! Happy Birthday!

We pulled up to Orange Leaf and Carson started yelling, "Ice Cream! Ice Cream!" The only time we have ever taken him out for ice cream was the night that I took him on a Mommy-Son date! We couldn't believe that he remembered and that he recognized it as we drove past.
Carson loved his ice cream full of candy, and Brooklyn kept trying to grab our cups. Poor girl didn't understand why we wouldn't give her any! She resorted to eating Daddy's sweater instead.
On Saturday we had Jason's family party. He got a Lego cake, which he was really surprised and excited about.
Carson thought the candles were really cool, but they were the trick candles that kept re-lighting and it scared him after a couple of times. He almost pushed the cake right off of Jason's lap. Poor kid. :)
We love you, Jason! Happy Birthday!!
